Sport Governance:

• A governing body representing and promoting the sport of basketball within Queensland.

• Development and maintenance of rules, regulations and policies to ensure a fair, safe and enjoyable sport for all.

• Representation of Queensland via the National Federation Basketball Australia.

• Provision of integrity services for member Associations to ensure the smooth operation of the sport in Queensland.

Sport Development

• Education, training and professional development of sports administrators at member Associations.

• Education, training and accreditation of coaches and officials.

• Development of programs aimed to increase participation and support Associations.

Insurance

• Personal Accident, Public Liability Insurance for players, coaches, officials and club volunteers.

• Management Liability and Cyber Liability Insurance for member Associations.

Digital Services

• Statewide access to the Basketball Connect registration database, competition management platform and Basketball Connect App.

Competitions and Events

• Promotion of the sport through the delivery of State competitions and Events.

• Development of pathways and participation opportunities for all, including opportunities for all to access our sport. E.g. Wheelchair basketball.

• Promotion of a safe and inclusive sport.

Performance Pathways

• Development of performance pathways for players, coaches and officials.
