RedCity Roar are ready to claim the inaugural QSL1 Men’s Division 1 title in front of home fans as they host tonight’s Grand Final. Last year’s QBL Champions Brisbane Capitals stand in their way and are more than capable of causing the upset on their best day.

When you look at results from the last time these two met you’d be forgiven for thinking RedCity had this in the bag, when RedCity tore up Auchenflower Stadium to come away with 23 point win.

RedCity have earned a reputation for dominant performances, with star players Harry Froling and Will McDowell-White averaging a double-double per game.  The imposing Froling has averaged an impressive 29.6 points per game and 16.5 rebounds this season.

Then you have Will McDowell-White putting up 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 3.8 steals per game and putting away the points that matter. His 2pt lay up put Roar ahead with 2 seconds to spare last night against Sunshine Coast Phoenix, sealing their Grand Finals berth in a game to remember.

If one McDowell-White wasn’t enough, Darryl McDowell-White Jnr has come into the second half of the season firing, averaging 21.4 points per game.

Brisbane Capitals dispatched Ipswich Force on the road last night by 15, and all eyes will again be on Jason Cadee. Cadee was close to a triple-double against Ipswich, landing 24 pts, 8 reb and 8 ast and Caps fans will be hoping he can better that tonight.

The dynamic Jarrad Bairstow has averaged a double-double per game this season, scoring 21 points and collecting 10 rebounds and last night was no different (20 pts and 15 reb).

Nicholas Stoddart knows how to make an impact, averaging double scoring figures off the bench (13 ppg) while Timothy Soong is just behind him averaging 9.2 points per game.
